Breathe iOS App Review
The Apple Watch software Breathe keeps you grounded by guiding you through a sequence of deep, relaxing breaths. With deep, regular breathing from your abdomen, the app helps you return to a tranquil condition. It tells the brain to unwind and returns you to a calmer, more zen condition. The application walks you through a series of deep-breathing exercises to help you better handle stress in everyday life. This is accomplished through both animated watch faces and haptic stimulation on your wrist. It reminds you to breathe in and out while providing feedback on the length of each inhale and expiration. You can use the Breathe app whenever you want, but just like your Activity rings and their “Time to stand”/”Time to roll” notifications, you can’t use it at any time.
Series of breathing techniques
Breathe may also send you reminders to remind you to breathe. Change the frequency of the reminders by tapping on Breathe Reminders (from None up to 10 times a day). Other features in the Breathe app include the ability to turn on haptics while breathing or silence it for the day if you need a break. You can also add Breathe as a complication to your watch face so that you may start it quickly and easily if something in your everyday life causes your tension or anxiety. Simply tap and begin breathing if you begin to feel overwhelmed. The Breathe app will also show you your current heart rate at the end of the meditation session. The Breathe app does more than just help you collect your thoughts and concentrate on what matters to you.
Reduce stress
The iPhone’s Apple Health app has a measure called Mindful Minutes that may be used to track data from meditation sessions. This might help you figure out if guided meditation helps you sleep better, eat healthier, or remember to exercise. If the notion of guided meditation appeals to you, but the Breathe reminders are causing you anxiety, you may opt to get only one reminder per day. You will not receive an alert that day if you have already logged a session. Breathe reminders also wait for instances when there is no movement or exercise detected, so they don’t take you off guard.
