I’d Cap That App for iPhone Review
I’d Cap That app for iPhone is a prank app. It takes your normal photo and selects the perfect, most hysterically crude caption and slaps it on top. Here, it must be noted that it is not ‘you’ who is typing in the captions on the photos. But the app does it all by itself. In a sense, that robs you of the real fun of being able to slap captions all by yourself. I’d Cap That iPhone app comes free of cost in iTunes App Store.
I’d Cap That: The App
The app’s moto is ‘Random Captions on Demand’. Basically what I’d Cap That iPhone app does is to ask you to pick a photo and once done that, it’ll add a random hilarious caption to the selected picture. The app comes with hundreds of absurdly hysterical captions to turn your iPhone photos into hilarious works of art. If you got a grudge on your boss, well, I’d Cap That could help you earnestly to give vent to your feelings. You can even share the captioned photos via Twitter, Facebook, or mailing.
The user interface of I’d Cap That iPhone application does not require much skill to master. The home screen gives you two options: to click a photo or pick one from the existing images in the phone. Once you make the pick, a random caption appears on the photo; you got two filters that you can apply to prop up the images. If you need more, upgrade the app by paying up $0.99. A notable feature is that unlike most apps, I’d Cap That also let you import images from Facebook.
On the downside, the captions are totally random and sometimes it might not fit the photo that you’ve chosen. In that case, you have the option to refresh the captions (only twice). If you want more refreshes, pay up. I’d Cap That is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5 running iOS 5.0 or later.
Final Thoughts
With I’d Cap That app for iPhone, you’ll have a hilarious time capping your friend’s photos with funny captions. But you got to choose from a given set of captions. Had the app let you pick the captions, it would have been just perfect a prank application. Verdict: Good one, if not great.
