Parasols Android Puzzle App Review
Parasols app for Android is a puzzler with a unique concept. You got to click on parasols to rotate it so that a given quarter’s color on one parasol matches its adjacent one. You can get Parasols Android app for free from Google Play Store.
Features
In Parasols app for Android, every level is presented as a spread of parasols. Each of the parasols is divided into four quadrants, each of which is painted in a different color. Each level has a four color palette that appears randomized each time you play. Now, by clicking on parasols, it will rotate by 90 degrees. When you rotate, if a given quarter’s color on one parasol matches its adjacent one, both disappear. It should be kept in mind that each tap rotates the parasols only in the clockwise direction. You must plan out your moves. Otherwise, you might be targeting an adjacent umbrella, one to trigger off in one of the other directions unexpectedly. Most often than not, such a possibility will ruin your chances. But with little bit of planning, you can set up arrangements to have 2, 3 or all four adjacent parasols clear out at once.
For a given pairing, the second parasol will perform one turn before disappearing, and this could trigger a chain reaction of sort resulting in multiple clearing at the same time. Since each level has a timer, and the limited number of taps that you’re allowed, you got to rely on such multiple clearing of parasols to finish of a level within the give time frame. Parasols app for Android has three difficulty levels. The beginner level has a 3×3 grid, which is deceptively tricky to manage. Since there are only 9 parasols, you got to set up the chain reaction intelligently to clear all the parasols. The intermediate level as 5×5 grids, wherein it randomly assigns a pattern to the parasol grid that can leave empty space or disconnect one half from the other. The expert level as 7×7 grids and the patterns are given in random, making it a tough challenge of all the three.
Conclusion
Parasols app for Android is certainly fun and challenging especially if you play it on your phone. It got tremendous re-playability value. The graphics is decent throughout. On the flip side, the app does not seem to scale to different screen sizes. It appears to be coded for certain screen sizes, rather than configured to dynamically adapt to the screen size of home devices. Hopefully, this will be rectified by the developers in the future versions. Overall, an entertaining puzzler that really gets your brain working.
