The usual Android games might come handy to keep your kids entertained on car trips or just before going to bed. But they won’t necessarily contribute to the education and development of your kid. KidED app for Android allows teaching your children basic knowledge according to their age, hand-in-hand with their everyday screen-time activities. It is rather a novel take on adding learning to your kid’s playtime. Once you fire up the app, you have the choice to enter a pin code so that your kid can’t turn off the app until you’re ready to do so. Once you have loaded the app, you can download a small selection of learning packages comprising of math puzzles, knowledge quizzes, reading exercises etc. If you want more, you got to purchase those. Once you have the packages, you activate the app and hand over your phone to your kid to play a game, view videos or whatever. At pre-set intervals, KidED app will pop up a quiz question for them to answer. On replying to the question correctly, they can go back to the app and keep playing.

While testing the app, we found this to be a seamless experience. The continuity is not affected by the pop up questions. Once you feel that your kid got enough educational training for the day, you can go back into KidED and deactivate the pin. The app has lots of learning options. For example, under the math, reading, and logic categories, you got exercises in many different age / skill levels. Literarily there are dozens of packages to download. The app also comes with a statistic report tool that tells you how many of each type of quiz your child has encountered and how they have performed. It also gives you an idea which area of educational development that your kid requires some more polishing. All subscriptions come with a one-week free trial.

KidED app for Android gives an opportunity to solve a multitude of different tasks and exercises at the same time with your kid’s regular everyday activities. You can pin lock the quizzes so that your kids got to answer them to proceed with the game or app they are currently in. The statistic report tool let you know how your kid is responding to the test. Overall, a useful educational tool that turns gaming into learning.
