Mediocre, the makers of PinOut! app, has absolutely nailed it when it comes to the graphics. It features gorgeous, Tron-like graphics that makes you feel like playing the pinball machine of the future. The pinball table features dark, glossy surfaces and bright neon lights that gives you a feel of The Grid game. The table also got various bumpers, ramps and even some hidden mini games that you can enter and play. The sound effects are fun and futuristic while the groovy, techno synth soundtrack is fun to listen to.
PinOut! for iPhone has only one game mode. Your objective is to race against the clock and see how far along the pinball table you can get. You start off with one minute, but you can collect the glowing orbs to earn extra time. As the game is a continuous journey for the player, you got to aim to get the ball on the proper ramp paths that move you to the next sector of the table. Mind you, it is not as easy as it may appear to be as you’ll encounter bumpers, moving walls, blocked off areas and launchers as you progress. Along the way, you’ll also find tokens for mini-games and power up orbs. The controls in the game are simple and intuitive. Tap on the left or right side of the screen to activate the flipper you want to use. You got to pay attention as to where the flipper lies. The positioning may vary at each stage. The bottom-line is to survive as long as you could. The app was found to be stable and responsive. PinOut! requires iOS 6.0 or later.
