What is it about?
TextMe app for iPhone makes texting a free of cost and easy process. You can send as many Texts as you want (real SMS) to any number in the countries supported. If you friend also has TextMe app installed in their iPhone, you can make video calls as well. To do that, you need to get your own nickname and a U.S. texting number. You can send pictures, voice and video messages to your friends. User will also get to enjoy free voice mail in TextMe. TextMe for iPhone also supports group texting with text, photos and videos. You will be notified when your message is delivered or/and read by your friend. To make your interaction personal, you can choose from a wide sample of 367 free Smileys and Emojis to go with the text message. Users can also share their current location with their friends in a single click.
However, it should be noted that free calls to numbers in the US are subject to some limitations. To call for free any number in the US and Canada you need to Earn free minutes within the App. For unlimited free calls, you got to avail subscription for the same effect for $2.99 through IAP. TextMe app for iPhone does not support 911 calls unfortunately. The UI of TextMe app is well designed and easy to use. It is also stable, and the call quality is reasonably good. TextMe app requires iOS versions 8.0 or higher.

It also works great as a video chat app, while of course the texting is spot on. With an appropriate subscription, you can use the app to make unlimited phone calls. Push notifications come handy. Lack of support for 911 is rather strange. The UI is largely user friendly. Overall, a nice messaging application with inbuilt support for voice and video calls.
