In Atomas game app for Android, you start with Hydrogen atom which you will need to fuse together with the help of energy rich atoms in order to create valuable elements like gold, platinum, silver, etc. If you have forgotten the Periodic Table, this is time to refresh your memory a bit to do well in the game. But that is not limiting. Even those who have not learnt Chemistry well enough at school can still enjoy the game. Here, every atom has an atomic number and when they’re combined, you’ll get an atom of the next higher atomic number. For example, if you combine two Hydrogen atoms, you’ll get Helium (3). Your goal is to get the element with the highest atomic number you can before the board getting too crowded.
So, here is how Atomas game works: A few random elements are arranged in a circle. At the centre of the circle is another element or a + or – icon. Now you tap anywhere on the circle to place that element on that spot. The (+) icon can be placed between two matching elements to combine them. But you can combine more than just two at a time. If you manage to create a symmetrical pattern of elements, you can place the (+) at the center and combine multiples. Likewise, the (-) icon may be used to move an element into a different position, or transform it into a (+) icon. Once the circle is completely full of elements, with no more room for further elements, the game is over. You can use ‘antimatter’ to clear the half of the circle. But it is only available through an in-app purchase. Higher scores can be shared via FB/Twitter.The one described is the Standard Mode. There is also an Alchemist Mode and Time Attack Mode. The former is for serious players, wherein you got to create all 118 existing elements, and a few new ones created by the developer.
