Budget Gadget Lite App for Android Review
There is no shortage of apps in Google Play Store when it comes to personal account utilities. But the challenge is to find one that provides an easy way to account your expenses. Here is an app – Budget Gadget Lite for Android – which is one of the simplest expense trackers that we’d seen. It is also free.
Features
Budget Gadget Lite app for Android has a star trek inspired design. Four bold buttons gives you access to four categories of expenses, the broadest types of expenses one would encounter, namely House Expenses, Food and Drink, Fun, and Miscellaneous. Tap on the required category, and you can enter the expenses in dollar, day of the expense, description of the expense and optionally, the location of the expense. Each of said categories will record a collective ledger wherein you can view how much you are spending on a given category, whereas the clicking on the center button provides a summary of all expenses for the month. The app runs a tally in multiple places to give you the cost. Hence you can have a quick glance of the total expenses from anywhere in the app.
One impressive feature of Budget Gadget Lite Android app is the location tracking option for your expenses. As you start to enter more line items into the ledger, the app will develop a library of the places you visit most frequently and automatically populate the descriptions when you again visit that location. This saves you some typing time. If you have privacy concerns, you can turn off the feature anytime. Anytime, you can export the ledger as a CSV file. However, one glaring miss is the lack of an option to enter income as well as expenditures. If it had this feature, Budget Gadget Lite would have transformed into a rounded financial management app. But as an expense tracker, it still delivers. No complaints!
Conclusion
Budget Gadget Lite for Android is an easy to use expense tracker app. It let you key-in your expenses under relevant categories, and the app’s financial management core does the rest. Location tracking feature and the ability to export the ledger as .CSV file are its other notable features. However, what is missing is an option to enter income. The UI is well designed. The app is also stable and responsive. Check it out if you’re in the lookout for an easy to use expense tracker utility for your smartphone.
