Easy Group iPhone App Review
iOS in general does not have any options that enable you to set up new contact groups. A roundabout way to group contacts is to do it via iCloud. If you wish to do it in your iPhone, you got to try Easy Group app. It allows you to list a group of iPhone contacts easily. Easy Group can be downloaded for free.
Features
Easy Group for iPhone let you set up groups, and then send an email/text to contacts in said groups. That is, if you want to send a text message or email to multiple persons in a group, you can do it with this app. Easy Group app for iPhone has a very minimalistic UI. But probably it does not require anything else for that matter. Select ‘My Groups’ to set up new groups and from ‘Messages and Mail’, you can send group text messages or email, with photos, to selected contacts. Beyond that, you can’t do anything else with this application. Its core feature is the ability to select iOS groups and specific groups outside of the address book options. There are no other customization options available to the users. That is, you can’t customize the background colors, menus or even add wallpapers. Also, there is no option to edit contact details listed within your groups.
The free version of the app – called Bronze – let you have three groups and send up to 30 messages. If you want to send more messages or create more groups, you got to upgrade to the Silver version for £1.49. Alternatively, if you manage to invite sufficient people using the ‘Invite’ option, the Silver upgrade becomes freely available. The Gold version with no ads/watermarks in emails costs £3.99. Some compatibility issues with iOS8 have been reported from few quarters. Referring to the app’s help page, if that happens, you have no other option that reinstalling the app again.
Conclusion
Easy Group app let you create contact groups for group messaging in your iPhone. Your groups automatically appear into your iPhone Contacts application. Customization options are sadly limited. Also, you can’t edit the contact details listed within your groups. For the ability to create more groups and send out more messages, you got to upgrade to the higher versions of the app. It is to be noted that Easy Group for iPhone works well with pre-iOS8 versions.
