You’ll be captivated by the name – LEXOSYNTHESIS. As you might have anticipated, it is a challenging and fun word game that’ll keep you playing for minutes on end, if not hours. In the game, you got to create words from randomly generated letter grids. While you can’t help but notice some similarity with Scrabble and Words with Friends, it is also unique in terms of game play and style that sets it apart. LEXOSYNTHESIS word game app is available for free download from Google Play.

Features

LEXOSYNTHESIS word game for Android allows players to generate words out of random letters. It appears to be a cross between Bejeweled like games and Scrabble like ones. Each of the letters is given a color based value and this helps make players decide what move to make. For example, 10 point letters are blue and 40 point letters are red letters. The longer the word, the more points the players will earn. It should be kept in mind that you have only 20 moves to form the word. Else, you got to start all over again. You can swap letters columns or rows to make new words. The columns/rows need not have to be next to each other either. LEXOSYNTHESIS app features a stunning number of letter combinations. This comes handy to young kids and international students who’re learning English as a foreign language.

The graphics is decent. The color scheme, though minimalistic, looks good. But those with large fingers might find choosing the letters a bit difficult if you’re playing the game on a small screen device. The calming soundtrack is inspiring. It helps motivate your inner wordsmith. The game is also slick and responsive. We did not experience any lags or freezes while playing the game.
The game is ad-supported. But the ad banners are not overtly intrusive.

Conclusion

LEXOSYNTHESIS game for Android uses some algorithm to randomly generate the letters for players to form words. This unpredictability adds to the challenge. It also provides the much needed variety required for word puzzlers to keep the players motivated. The UI layout is easy to follow. Soundtrack fits well with the game play. The app is also stable and responsive. Last but not the least, LEXOSYNTHESIS is a free app. At 36MB, it should not strain your mobile phone resources either. Check it out if you’re curious.
