Swing Copters 2 for iPhone brings no new ideas to the table. Compared to Flappy Bird, this one has you moving up and down instead of left/right. You just got to tap on the screen to dodge obstacles. Each gap you fit through earns you a point. Your aim is to achieve the highest score possible without crashing. While playing the game, we found it to be a bit frustrating. Even if you tap on the screen, the copter continues in the original directing for a split second most of the times, and therein hitting some obstacle. Couple this with the gaps that are also too small at times, the game can get really frustrating.
Like Flappy Bird, the game is designed to be challenging, to keep you coming back and trying to beat your friend’s score. You got to be really patient and willing to try multiple times to make a name on the leaderboard. Otherwise, be content with playing the game just for the sake of killing time. While we were not really impressed with the game play, the graphics part is a silver lining. It looked like a cross as between ‘Animal Crossing’ and ‘Pokemon’. The sound effects are a letdown to say the least. Every time you tap on the screen, it emits a squeaking voice and this bores you down fast. The same goes for menu sound track. It gets annoying to your ears after few rounds.

The response to your touch is not any great either. It is really hard to score points. Unless you got lots of free time, this one is going to test your patience. The graphics part is decent though. Overall, a poor Flappy Bird clone. Verdict: 2/5.
