Paradise Island has been getting a lot of great reviews lately so we decided to try it out.  It’s a sim game on an island that lets you build up your own empire.  Paradise Island has very clean graphics and the controls are easy to use.  If you like building up an economy in a simulated world and creating buildings on a virtual island landscape then you will definitely find this highly entertaining.  As with any economic based simulation, you must constantly upgrade and micro manage to build up your tropical empire.  Of course, bad weather and time will wear down your buildings so you will need to monitor those and repair them when you have the funds.

Paradise Island is different than other sims of this type because it lets you compete against your friends.  We found it to be very addictive, so truth in advertising!  As in other incredibly popular online simulations, specifically the one with farming, your tiny simulated island world will keep going as you do other things like go to work and sleep.  There is a wide variety of selection in plant life, fauna, buildings and decorations.  Bonus, it is ad free!

Conclusion:

Paradise Island is a great game, highly entertaining and we like the features.  It is difficult to earn money at first and drags a bit.  We experienced a minimal amount of problems with the game so, with a little more work this game will be perfect.  As it is, definitely a downloadable game that you should check out.  Obviously the developer put some heart and soul into it and it shows.
