Description:

The Glow Hockey Android app is a great way to enjoy a neon-retro style of air hockey like you’ve never played before.

Features:

  • This game pretty much gives you an entirely new experience when playing air hockey which is a nice breath of fresh air
  • The nice thing about the game is that it is very easy to just pick up and start playing.  It will take a lot of practice to really master it though
  • This game lets you play in a variety of different difficulty levels against computer opponents that will really challenge you
  • You will also get to enjoy all of the glowing colorful graphics as well as a variety of different paddles and pucks to choose from that you can customize
  • The game play in this little app is also pretty impressive and you will love how responsive they are
  • The physics are also really realistic and you will feel a vibration each time that the puck scores a goal
  • There is also a quick play mode where you can play single player against the computer

Conclusion:

This is a fun little hockey game that puts a new spin on the age old game. The physics engine of the game is pretty impressive and the game play is actually super-smooth when you are playing it.  One of the most impressive parts of the entire game is the theme.  It is a crazy, neon-retro, and will really get your attention.    The game also has a variety of different difficulty levels to be able to suit all kinds of players.  You can also customize it quite a bit with the changing of the colors of your paddle, the colors of your pucks, the type of effects, and also the different vibrations and sound effects that occur in the game.  Aside from those features, there are a few gripes that need to be mentioned.  First of all, it is missing a lot of perks like the obvious playing of 2 players on the same phone.  It also doesn’t let you play over wi-fi or bluetooth in order to compete with your friends.  There are also no other table themes and this app is not even enabled with Open Feint.  If you play on a really sensitive phone it can also be a bit of a nuisance.

This Android app game has gotten pretty good reviews and is currently sitting at a 4 out of 5 star rating on the scale.  The other bonus to this game is that it is completely free to download off of the Android app marketplace.
