Phonograph Music Player Android App Review

Phonograph Music Player is an open source free to download app for Android users. It is probably the best looking music player in the current market with the amount of custom design it offers. It has almost all the features that any other music playing app has and more that you would be pleasant surprised.

Listening to music taken to the next level

Once you open Phonograph Music Player for Android, you will be greeted by a nice flat material theme with a neat and well organized user interface that allows you to choose a color of your choice. You can choose from a lot of options. Unlike other music players, the app allows user to customize the player with more than 100+ colors. Based on your screen size and personal preference, you can set the artist/album grid to have 1 to 4 elements for each row. Phonograph will automatically download artist and album arts. There is a tag editor available so you could edit the tags of your music files, either for a single file or for the whole album. The white bar at the bottom can be taped or swiped to open the ‘Now Playing’ tab. Conveniently, the swipe left or right will allow you to change tracks. The Now Playing screen is clean, non cluttered with a material design. The background color changes according to the album played. The bottom part of this screen is quite different and interesting from other apps. From a generic tab showing only the track title, in Phonograph this bottom tile can be pulled up with a swipe to reveal a list of tracks that are played and to be played. You can edit this list. The order can be rearranged and deleted from the list.

Phonograph Music Player Android app features the lock-screen control and has an option to add blur effect to the album art. You can close the app straight from the notification panel. It has a built in 5 band equalizer with both enhanced bass and audio surround. Good amount of presets are available to choose from along with the ability to customize. Phonograph supports integration with Last.fm app, which allows users to scrobble, so the app automatically downloads additional information about the artist like their images or news.

Along with the regular features that all other music players provide, Phonograph Music Player for Android also has some nice, welcome additions that are so simple and incredibly useful and convenient.
